You can buy it at On the Rise bakery (6110 McClellan | www.cskdetroit.org/bakery.) And, BTW, On the Rise is a great bakery run by the Capuchin community that supports their work programs.

They have asked us to request men's underwear and socks on their behalf. Please help provide these most basic comforts. Shopping last minute? Pick up a few toiletries to share. 9.16.10 | Third Thursday | Soup at Spaulding Court, Corktown
2737 Rosa Parks | Detroit, MI,
2010-09-16 19:00:00 -
2010-09-16 20:30:00
- This month’s Third Thursday Community Connect will be something quite different. We’ve been invited to Soup at Spaulding Court, an 80+ year old, castle-like row of town homes in Corktown just off the I-75 service drive. The Friends of Spaulding Court are raising funds for their rehab. Here’s how it works: Attendees pay $5 (this is in lieu of our usual request of non-cash donations) and have a great supper of homemade soup, salad, and Avalon bread. You’ll hear the presentation of three unique ideas that require a little seed money to get going. When they’re finished, vote for your favorite idea. The top vote-getter is announced and the money that was collected at the “door” is split between Friends of Spaulding and the winner, after a small reimbursement is given to the cook. This is grassroots action at its best—the foundation that Synergy was built on.
