SEPTEMBER: THIRD THURSDAY GOES TO SOUP AT SPAULDING COURT | CORKTOWN
Join DSG for our monthly happy hour at Soup at Spaulding Court. It goes like this: people come for dinner--soup, salad and bread--and give $5. At the end of the meal, three folks present projects they'd like to accomplish and the crowd votes for a winner. The proceeds from the donations are split between the vote winner and Friends of Spaulding Court. Additionally, FoSC post a video of the winning presentation on Kickstarter and in one weeks time, try to raise the same amount the dinner brings in. This doubles the impact for both causes! Please Note: Beer is usually available for an additional $2 donation. Feel free to bring your own cooler. Also, if you can, bringing your own soup bowl and spoon is encouraged. Disposables will be available, too. Location: Spaulding Court | 2737 Rosa Parks Detroit, MI Our donations for September and October will focus on the Detroit Ronald McDonald House. (http://www.rmhc-detroit.org/) We'll be collecting the little aluminum pull tabs from any kind of aluminum cans Thank you for helping out.
