Vegetarian Supper Club at Traffic Jam & Snug!
A young Cass Tech biology teacher was having beer in a local dive bar in the summer of 1965 when a huge fight broke out. As they were cleaning up the mess, a woman at the other end of the bar calls out to no one in particular, “does anyone want to buy a bar?” The young man finishes his beer, walks over to the woman and asks if she is the owner. A few months later he opens the first Wayne State University “college” bar and calls it the Traffic Jam. The restaurant has been an anchor of the neighborhood ever since making everything on their menu from scratch. The restaurant has an in house dairy, brewery and bakery insuring that their menu is always fresh.
