DSG Shares provides and opportunity for volunteers to engage in a service learning event once per month designed to address a specific social issue plaguing our community - hunger and homelessness. Each service learning event engages volunteers in community impact with a Detroit-area organization while educating them on the realities of hunger and homelessness in our community.
Join DSG Shares at Cass Community Social Services (CCSS) on Saturday, March 6 from 10 a.m. - noon.CCSS is dedicated to making a profound difference in the diverse populations it serves by providing for basic needs including affordable housing, promoting self reliance and encouraging community inclusion and improvement.
DSG Shares will be meeting in CCSS's Scott Building which is located at 11850 Woodrow Wilson in Detroit. Volunteers will be assisting with sandwich preparation for the men, women and children who use CCSS's services. Volunteers ages 10 and up are welcome.
