Reality Television and Race: Discussing Differences Coffee Talk

Race related topics are nothing new for movies and the entertainment industry. Recently, the reality show realm has brought race front and center. Black/White, a show with participants trading races, is one example. And now Survivor, some might say the behemoth of reality shows, has participants competing in teams set up by race. Do race focused productions help in race relations? Do they confirm/disprove stereotypes?
