Detroit Bikes! to Work this Friday, May 18th

Celebrate National Bike to Work Day in Detroit with our 2nd Annual Woodward Avenue event. A perfect end to National Transit Week in Detroit, participate in a viable means of transit, a healthy and productive activity, and a event that builds community pride while on your way to work. Experienced Cyclists and Casual Friday co-workers welcome.

Free T-shirts to be distributed at the beginning and end of the ride. Special giveaway items to be handed out at the Cultural Center Station. See information below for details.

The Main Route: Woodward Avenue/ Livernois Avenue to Detroit

The Day's Itinerary:

Be on your bike, ready to depart, a few minutes ahead of schedule -- A large group of cyclists starting further north will continue biking past each meetup station, with participants joining at the posted stations.

Royal Oak - Farmer's Market, west entrance and parking lot | depart at 6:25 am sharp | Parking available @ west side of Farmer's Market

Ferndale - Troy Street parking lot, next to the post office | depart at 6:40 am approx | Limited Street Parking Available

Avenue of Fashion - Southbound Livernois @ Outer Drive | depart at 6:55 am approx | Limited Street Parking Available

Palmer Park - 7 Mile @ Pontchartrain | depart at 7:10 am approx | Limited Street Parking Available

New Center- Southbound Woodward @ West Grand Blvd | depart at 7:30 am approx | Limited Street Parking Available

Cultural Center - Detroit Historical Museum | depart at 7:40 am approx | Limited Street Parking Available

Midtown - Max Fisher Music Center, front entrance | depart at 7:50am approx | Limited Street Parking Available

Downtown Detroit - Campus Martius Park | arrive at 8:10 am approx

*Bike, bike helmet and signed liablity waiver (at event location) are required! bike lock suggested.

*Parking fees and sites vary due to events, however free street parking is available in select areas around Event Stations. Parking is at owner's expense. Ride a bike! our parking is free!
