Meet up at Detroit's Gathering Place, Campus Martius Park for a tour of Detroit's Cycling Community. Starting from the exact center of the city @ 10am, our tour includes stops for organizations that promote City Cycling.
Come early because, at 9:30am, the Children's Hospital of Michigan Trauma Center - Injury Prevention Education Coordinator will be selling bike helmets at $8 a piece. They are quality adult helmets with visor and adequate air vents, sold for a low cost to promote safe cycling this summer. **Bike and Helmet are required for all Detroit Bike tours! on July 15th, there are officially no excuses for not having a helmet.
Our sites of interest will include: Fort Wayne, Avalon Bakery, Back Alley Bikes, Mexicantown, Grand Circus Park, The Riverfront, West Grand Blvd., West Canfield Historic District, St. Anne's Church, and Midtown.
