In preparation for the possibility of inclimate weather and to protect all our participants from injury or illness, our event has a rain date scheduled for April 19th, 2008. Please see our original event description on April 12th on the Detroit Synergy Calendar for details. **NOTE: Tour at Ren Cen will occur at 2pm april 12th, no matter what weather conditions.** Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience.

Beginning its fourth season of cycling in the City of Detroit, "Detroit Bikes!" will continue its much anticipated schedule of neighborhood tours by bike. Tour will start @ 10am PROMPTLY, with a scheduled tour for beginners level cyclists and modest spring amateur atheletes along the Detroit Riverfront. Free sights of the international riverfront available and enjoy the ride as we cycle through historic Rivertown, warm up to the fabulous views of Belle Isle, and weave our way through Lafayette Park (the largest collection of Mies Van Der Rohe buildings in the world). The end of our tour will lead us to Eastern Market, a wonderful place to have lunch, or simply pick farm fresh goods and picnic with friends at various sites around town. Bike, Bike Helmet, and lights or reflectors required! *Parking fees vary due to events, however free street parking is available in select areas around downtown.

Explore one of Detroit's landmarks and enjoy the view from the city's tallest building. If you ever wondered where the local Detroit movie theatre is, or want to know what a $5 Million dollar investment looks like, then come check out GM's World Headquarters with Detroit Synergy. 1 hour Walking Tour starts at 2pm SHARP inside the GM Wintergarden. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to reserve their spot for the event. Limited to 40 participants. First come, First served. No RSVP. Bike Parking can be found at bike racks along the Riverfront Promenade near the GM Wintergarden, at multiple People Mover Stations, and inside the Compuware Parking Garage near the Cadillac Square People Mover Station.
