Synergy Is Diversity - MRDI's Walk2Gether Michigan
Walk2gether Michigan is a fundraiser for Leadership in the New Century (LINC), a comprehensive youth diversity education program. Through this program, MRDI goes into middle schools and high schools to educate students on diversity and multiculturalism. The walk is the sole funding source for this program.
Detroit Synergy will be assembling a dynamic walk team to participate in the walk. We will be walking as a team. Our goal is to have at least thirty walkers, so feel free to invite family and friends.
All walkers are all encouraged, but not required, to raise a minimum of $25. Those who pledge $25 or more will receive an event tee shirt that reflects the diversity of our community. Post walk activities include entertainment, activities, and a raffle.
Date: Saturday, May 10th
Time: Registration starts at 9:00am with the walk beginning at 10:00am
Location: the Remick Music Shell, located at the East end of Belle Isle | Please meet at the Detroit Synergy Team table first to turn in all pledges by no later than 9:30am
Distance: Walkers will have the option to choose between a one and three mile route.
