Talking about Detroit Synergy at a local festival or event is about as easy as volunteering gets. It usually involves simply talking about your experiences with Detroit Synergy and encouraging people to sign up to receive our emails. If you're new to Synergy yourself, we provide you with background information about the organization and other talking points about our projects. And once you're finished with your shift, explore the festival or event itself. It's a great way to take part in all that Detroit has to offer and meet new people along the way. If this sounds like fun (it really is!) and you're interested in helping out with any of the events below, please let us know! |

08.29.09—08.30.09 | the People's Art Festival @ the RICDSG will be participating in this year's People's Art Festival at the
Russell Industrial Center (RIC), which is hailed as Detroit's fastest growing real arts festival.
Last year, over 14,000 people joined 200+ visual artists, filmmakers,
musicians and other performance artists...and this year, they are
expecting the crowd to more than double. And we need volunteers like YOU to come and help spread the word about Detroit Synergy...so sign up and come be a part of this great event! Shifts are 2 hours, beginning at 10am through 10pm on Saturday or 12am to 6pm on Sunday. Come talk about Synergy for a bit then go check out all the awesome artists and music, too! |
Shifts:
Sat | 10am to 12pm | 12pm to 2pm (1) | 2pm to 4pm (1) | 4pm to 6pm (1) | 6pm to 8pm | 8pm to 10pm
Sun | 12pm to 2pm | 2pm to 4pm | 4pm to 6pm (1)
Ideally we'd have 2 people per shift, so you and a friend are welcome to sign up together.
**Note: Shifts in GRAY are filled with 2 people. (1) next to a time slot indicates that one person is needed for that slot. BOLDED times are slots that are not filled yet.

When: Saturday, August 29—Sunday, August 30 | 10am to 10pm Saturday AND 12pm to 6pm Sunday
Where: Detroit Synergy Booth @ People's Art Festival | 1600 Clay Street | located right off I-75 (just north of I-94) @ Exit 54
