- On Friday, May 15th, 2009, celebrate Bike to Work Day in Detroit. As an alternative form of transit, get to work with 2 wheels and pedal power. Bike to Work amongst the landscape that makes up the East Side, and be a part of the neighborhoods and urban centers that make Kercheval and East Jefferson Avenue a valued part of our region. Come be apart of "National Bike to Work Day" and the Commuter Challenge in the City of Detroit. Times and Stations published on Detroit Synergy website. *Bike, Bike Helmet, and acceptance of all traffic laws is required. Bike Lock suggested.
