Two Weeks
Wednesday, May 25, 2005, 6pm: Achieving the "Tipping Point"* -- Community Brainstorm/Action Session: Northern Light Lounge 6600 Baltimore Ave, New Center, Detroit.
Detroit is on the verge. It's on the edge. The development, the community involvement, the flourishing arts scene, the new perception. The question remains: who is going to push Detroit over the edge, what is going to enable Detroit to reach the "tipping point; i.e. that point where all the positive energy in Detroit grows by exponential leaps and bounds? Join Detroit Synergy and The World is Coming Get in the Game for a discussion and brainstorm session about how Detroiters and residents of Southeast Michigan can enable Detroit to reach this critical juncture. Brainstorm a list of potential activities and initiatives that build upon positive experiences and perceptions. Create projects aimed towards highlighting all that is good in Detroit. Be the change that you want to see.
* The idea of the the "tipping point" is based on author Malcolm Gladwell's book: The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference. Check your local library, bookstore or online book provider for more details.
