DSG 5th Anniversary

What a great time! Thanks to all who attended our 5th anniversary general meeting including our special guest, Mayor Kilpatrick, DSG co-founder, Dave Naczycz, DSG founding steering team members and members of our advisory board. Special kudos to Allison Bieri for coordinating the evening with assistance from Michelle DiMercurio and Amanda Dunham.

Thanks to the Detroit Opera House for a beautiful venue for our celebration!

Red Cross Blood Drive

Southeastern Michigan Red Cross has issued an urgent appeal for blood donors and DSG is answering the call! Walk-ins are welcome, however appointments are encouraged. Please email Dan at the address below to make an appointment to donate.

Project Clean & Green!

Dequinder Cut Hike 

By popular demand, we will be hiking the Dequindre Cut again. Walking boots and long pants are recommended on this tour of great graffiti along the old train track east of downtown.

Bus to Work Campaign: A Transit Project

We're working this September and October to help strengthen mass transit in metro Detroit. Is there a bus stop near where you work? Sign-up to post an educational flier at your workplace that describes the local routes and the personal cost savings.  Its easy - to get started, just go to www.detroitsynergy.org/projects/transit and we'll produce a customized flier for you to post.

Bus to the Movies: A Transit Project

Join Detroit Synergy as we bus to The Simpsons Movie at the Magic Bag. The 450 SMART Bus to this View & Brew event leaves downtown at 7:30PM. Please plan to be there 10 minutes in advance. Illuminate Detroit: Midtown

Shine a light on new development projects in Detroit and you get a party called "Illuminate". The historic building of the Willys Overland Lofts has been under renovation and is ready for our sneak peak. This is a great opportunity to discover midtown living!

Community Callout

Detroit Fashion Week 2007

DSG & Detroit Fashion Week 2007 invite you to experience the exquisite creations of Michigan's most creative designers and one of Metro Detroits hottest after-parties on Friday, September 28th.

Detroit Synergy was selected as the non-profit to be supported by Detroit Fashion Week and will receive 10% of the night's net proceeds. Come celebrate at the St. Regis Hotel in Detroit's New Center area, have a great time and support DSG and DFW!

The Michigan Humane Society Walk

Join DSG and Canine to Five for the Michigan Humane Society Walk on Sunday, October 7th from 9am to 1pm. Bring your dog to walk and after the march, join the BBQ at Canine to Five's new dog park! Taste of the "D"

The Junior Benefit Committee of the Detroit Historical Society will host a beer-tasting event at the Detroit Historical Museum on Friday, October 19th, from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. DSG will be joining the event again this year.  Proceeds benefit the Detroit Historical Society.
