Volunteer Event at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen
Volunteer your time to this holiday season to help serve those who are less fortunate. Volunteers should arrive at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen by 3:30 pm to serve from 4:00-6:00 pm. There are a limited number of spaces so please be sure to RSVP by this Thursday morning. If you cannot make it this time, we will also be having another volunteer date on December 31st, details tba.

December Third Thursday & Project Lead Clinic: Motor City Brewing Works
Third Thursday is a Community Happy Hour and a great way to relax, network, talk about projects and learn more about Detroit Synergy. You can join us for our monthly Project Lead Clinic at 6pm with the happy hour starting at 6:30.
This month, join us for a hometown brew at the MCBW. Our charity partner is the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Please consider bringing a few healthy non-perishable food items or a few dollars to share.

Give the Gift of Life this Holiday Season - Give Blood!
Detroit Synergy will be hosting another Blood Drive at the Red Cross. Our goal this time is 25 donations. Appointments can be made any time between 7:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Bus to Work Campaign: A Transit Project
We're working this November and December to help strengthen mass transit in metro Detroit. Is there a bus stop near where you work? Sign-up to post an educational flier at your workplace that describes the local routes and the personal cost savings. Its easy - to get started, just go to www.detroitsynergy.org/projects/transit and we'll produce a customized flier for you to post.

Cityscape Detroit's Annual Meeting - This Friday, November 30th at 6:30pm
Come hear George Jackson, president of the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC), speak at Cityscape Detroit's annual meeting. You'll hear the latest about the Riverwalk, West Riverfront, Campus Martius, Lower Woodward Corridor, Rock Financial, Book/Cadillac, Hudson's Block, Lafayette Bldg., Fort/Shelby Bldg., UA/Statler site, etc. The meeting will be held on the 13th floor of the Penobscot Building, located at 645 Griswold. There is a $8 donation for nonmembers. Please RSVP to am@cityscapedetroit.org, but walkups are welcome.
