Bike-to-Work Day A Huge Success!
Building on last year's momentum, Detroit Bikes! second Bike to Work Day received alot of press and fifty people commuted to work by bike. The weather was kind and excitement ruled the conversations. Many riders made plans to commute again with people they met on the ride. Riders received a cool bright Bike to Work Day T-shirt, a snack pack from The Detroit Institute of Arts and The Detroit Historical Museum and at the finale in Campus Martius Park, were treated with Au Bon Pain coffee and pastries and Detroit Mortgage Group water.
Riders were accompanied by a Channel 4 News Helicopter, Fox 2 News coverage, and a Detroit News reporter joining on two wheels.

Run Belle Isle Results
Thank you to the runners and corporate donors for supporting the 2nd Annual Belle Isle Spring Into Nature 5K Run/Walk. We had another great event in 2007! Approximately 225 Runners/Walkers came out to raise over $1,500 for the Belle Isle Nature Zoo.

Fundraising Chair - Fundraising for Detroit Synergy is project-based and grassroots just like our group. Our current fundraising chair has been making calls and helping with donations for over three years, so it must be a fun job! All steering team positions are volunteer and open to the general public, but we do like to find individuals who are familiar with our projects and have been to meetings.
