Project Lead to coordinate Third Thursday project, a community meet and greet event....every third Thursday of the month at various locations around the city. Leading this project is a snap -- contact a local venue, confirm that they'd have space for our group and if they would offer some type of drink special, then show up and make new friends. Contact Cheryl discovery@detroitsynergy.org to jump in. Summer is a great time for this project.

Membership Chair - Our current Membership Steering Team Chair is transitioning to a project-based role, so we're looking for someone who would like to help build and retain an inclusive DSG membership. Over the last four years we've grown from a handful of Detroit-crazy visionaries to a group of over 4000. Take us to the next level! Contact Amanda membership@detroitsynergy.org
-
Fundraising Chair - Fundraising for Detroit Synergy is project-based and grassroots just like our group. Our current fundraising chair has been making calls and helping with donations for over three years, so it must be a fun job! All steering team positions are volunteer and open to the general public, but we do like to find individuals who are familiar with our projects and have been to meetings. Information on the position is here or contact Dan fundraising@detroitsynergy.org
Belle Isle 'Spring Into Nature' 5K Run/Walk
Our second Belle Isle run/walk to benefit the Belle Isle Nature Zoo included over 200 people. Race times are available here. Thanks to all of our runners, walkers, volunteers and corporate donors!!! Big applause for project lead, Allison Fox, for another successful race.
New Ideas for Detroit 2007
Our second project generation meeting was held in March. Here are some of the project ideas that shook out of the meeting:
Detroit Family Olympics | Kid's Safety | Dancin' in the Streets | Detroit Stories: A Positive Detroit | Detroit Swim Mobile
A full list of brainstorming and other details are posted on the DSG site. For more information, or to join one of these project teams, contact our Steering Team Project Chairs - Cheryl discovery@detroitsynergy.org or Alok development@detroitsynergy.org - and they will connect you with a project lead or come to the general meeting to learn more!
