Pecha-Kucha Night Volume 5: Entries Due July 20th!
Pecha Kucha Night, devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architecture), was conceived in 2003 as a place for designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
The key to Pecha Kucha Night is its patented system, each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each – giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.
Submission Requirements: Brief description of your work (300 words or less);Three images of your work up to 3 megabytes (1000 kb per image)
For more info visit: http://www.pecha-kucha.org/cities/detroit

Community Callout: Detroit Windsor Film Festival
The festival is returning for a second year and will start on June 26th and end on the 28th. Their Inaugural event in 2008 was a huge success as they brought a bit of
fun, film, fame and friendship to downtown Detroit! Film lovers
mingled with film makers throughout the wonderful spaces of Detroit's
University Cultural Center and in downtown Windsor. In 2009, The DWIFF is continuing to generate new
opportunities for our community to engage in the growth of our film and
creative culture and to promote our talented artists and craftspeople
who engage in the art of storytelling- through film, video, games, the
web, music and more. For a complete listing of movies being shown, times, locations, and to purchase tickets, please visit http://www.dwiff.org/
DWIFF has graciously offered free tickets to DSG...and we are passing them on to YOU! A pair will be given to the first 5 people to email cinema@detroitsynergy.org ...so act fast!
