Dequindre Cut Hike
If you've ever wanted to see what the Dequindre Cut is like, but never were able to find the time, here's your chance! Along the way you will be exposed to many works of graffiti art by a variety of artists.
The hike will also give you an opportunity to see this two-mile, below-grade abandoned rail line just east of downtown before its renovation begins.
Date: Sunday, June 24th
Time: 10:00am to 12:00 noon
Location: Parking lot of Fuddruckers on East Jefferson.
Attire: Full length pants (blue jeans or Dickies work) as well as a long sleeve shirt to help with any mosquitoes and the overgrowth of bushes there. Please also bring a bottle of water and a granola bar as the hike may be a little tiring. And, of course, bring a camera!
Where: Here's a Google Links Map of the proposed walk.

Wanted!
-
Membership Chair - Our current Membership Steering Team Chair has transitioned to a project-based role, so we're looking for someone who would like to help build and retain an inclusive DSG membership. Over the last four years we've grown from a handful of Detroit-crazy visionaries to a group of over 4000. Take us to the next level! Contact Amanda membership@detroitsynergy.org
-
Fundraising Chair - Fundraising for Detroit Synergy is project-based and grassroots just like our group. Our current Fundraising Chair has been making calls and helping with donations for over three years, so it must be a fun job! All steering team positions are volunteer and open to the general public, but we do like to find individuals who are familiar with our projects and have been to meetings. Information on the position is here or contact Dan fundraising@detroitsynergy.org
