Third Thursday is a Community Happy Hour and a great way to relax,
network, talk about projects and learn more about Detroit Synergy. You
can join us for our monthly Project Lead Clinic at 6pm with the happy
hour starting at 6:30.

This month, meet us at Motor City Brewing Works for drinks and great food and stop by next door at the Bureau of Urban Living for some last minute gift shopping. Our charity partner is the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Please consider bringing a few healthy non-perishable food items or a few dollars to share.

Give the Gift of Life this Holiday Season - Give Blood!
Detroit Synergy will be hosting another Blood Drive at
the Red Cross. Our goal this time is 25 donations. Appointments can be

Sustainable Detroit Coffee Talk
Detroit Synergy invites you to a roundtable discussion
about sustainability and its role in Detroit's future. We are
facilitating open conversation between the public and
sustainability-minded organizations to promote knowledge, networking
and action. Topics we intend to cover are 1) what makes a region
sustainable, 2) what opportunities lie ahead for Detroit, and 3) how to
get involved.

Discussing Differences - A Dialogue for Detroit's Future
Discussing Differences is a collaboration between Detroit Synergy and The Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion (MRDI), to help Metro Detroiters break down racial and social barriers by using MRDI’s 'Trading Places' dialogue series.

"Detroit Bikes!" cycles for THAW (The Heat and Warmth Fund)
The next event will take place during Winter Blast
weekend, and will involve a stationary bike, a WWJ radiothon, and
31 hours of cycling...all to benefit SE Michigan
families in need to stay warm this winter. Support for the event could
be as little as cycling for
an hour on the stationary bike at the Boll Family Downtown YMCA,
cheering on cyclists,
or even donating to THAW
through the WWJ website.

On-going! Bus to Work Campaign: A Transit Project
We're working this November and December to help strengthen mass transit in metro Detroit. Is there a bus stop near where you work? Sign-up to post an educational flier at your workplace that describes the local routes and the personal cost savings. Attention Runners, Save the Date!! April 26th
Our 3rd Annual Spring Into Nature Fun Run, benefitting
the Belle Isle Nature Zoo, will be taking place on Saturday, April 26th,
2008. The run will take place on Belle Isle, and will start at BINZ. As
always, volunteers will be needed leading up to and the day of the
event. Stay tuned to the Detroit Synergy website for more info as the
day approaches!
Community Callout - Detroit Sounds and Spirits Holiday Spectacular
This 6th annual event, taking place this Friday the 21st at the
Magic Stick, is presented by Detour Mag and curated by David Feeny.
This year's show will feature performances by The Hard Lessons, The Go,
Nathaniel Mayer, Great Lakes Myth Society, PAS/CAL, The Decks, The
Muldoons plus tons more of Detroit's finest rock bands. Tickets are
only $15 and doors are at 8pm with music starting promptly at 9pm. All
proceeds go to benefit the Detroit Coalition on Temporary Shelter
(COTS). Celebrants are
encouraged to bring a dish to pass. 18 and over only, please.
