October General Meeting
The October general meeting was held at the Smart Detroit offices in the historic Penobscot Building.
Francis Grunow
The Detroit Synergy Steering Team presented Francis Grunow, one of the Detroit Synergy founders and Executive Director of Preservation Wayne, with a commemoration signed by the entire Detroit City Council applauding him for his efforts and achievements for Detroit Synergy and the City of Detroit. Francis has served as the DSG Steering Team Dialogue Chair.

A Taste of the D

The Detroit Historical Society’s Junior Benefit Committee presents its second event, A Taste of the D beer tasting event, on Friday, October 20th from 7 p.m. to Midnight at the Detroit Historical Museum featuring a beer tasting spotlighting 10 Michigan Breweries, sample fare from a variety of metro Detroit eateries, wine tasting, tarot card and astrology readings, a silent auction to benefit the DHS and music all night.
Tickets for the event are $15 for Detroit Historical Society members, DSG event volunteers and $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. Reserve tickets at www.detroithistorical.org/thingstodo or (313) 833-7935. A Taste of the D is a 21 and over event.
