Project Clean on East Warren
Project Clean in partnership with the East Warren Business Association and U-SNAP-BAC coordinated volunteers to clean up a section of East Warren in the Morningside and East English Village neighborhoods. On Saturday, July 28th, from 10am to 2pm with great sunny weather to help us along, over 40 bags of trash and weeds were removed from Devonshire to Kensington. Thank you to all, from suburbs to Midtown - neighbors to neighboring communities, who joined in and cleaned up!
Compuware Community Involvement Grant
Our thanks to Compuware Corporation and their employee, our own Amanda Dunham, who through many hours of community service to Detroit Synergy was awarded funds for our organization! The grant will be used for the support of our projects.
Community involvement has stood as a pillar of the Compuware culture from the day of the company's founding, including dedicated volunteer work of employees. In support of Compuware employees, the Compuware Volunteer Champions Grant Program allows employees to apply for a $250 cash grant from Compuware to benefit a nonprofit organization where that employee performs at least 40 hours of volunteer work in the fiscal year.
This program provides an excellent incentive to work at a favorite community organization while offering their employees the ability to make a greater impact through Compuware's support of their efforts.
